Let
us examine the signs God has given us. There are many signs throughout the Old
and New Testaments but I am only concerned with those signs that surround us
daily in this current age.
The
signs given are throughout Genesis and continued through the Bible and through
the New Testament. Again, God has chosen many signs that but the signs that are
constant and always there are above our heads and can be seen in the stars,
planets, comets and asteroids both large and small. Christians have always
shunned these heavenly signs convincing themselves that all signs in the
heavens will be supernatural and may involve angels, trumpets and shouting from
the heavens above. This is true in the only prophecy that will truly matter to
us and that is of course Jesus’ return which all shall see but there are signs
for us today indicating the day is near.
Astronomy,
not astrology, and Cosmology are two sciences that are based in the observed
motions of stars, planets, comets and asteroids. When Jesus told his followers
that there would be signs in the heavens to announce his coming what was he
talking about?
